Case Study: Exhibition Stand Design for Finsa at KBB Birmingham 2024

Updated: Dec 6

Client: Finsa

Project: Bespoke Stand Design for KBB Birmingham Exhibition

The Challenge: We were honored to be chosen by Finsa to design their exhibition stand for KBB Birmingham 2024. Finsa’s vision was to:

  1. Showcase their extensive range of materials for the KBB industry.

  2. Establish themselves as a leading supplier of raw and decorative materials tailored to industry trends.

  3. Create an engaging journey for visitors through their product categories: Tech, Design, and Process.

Here is a look into their inspiration - this is just a snippet

Our Approach:

  • Concept Development: The stand design was centered on Finsa’s brief to highlight their innovation and versatility. Key materials were showcased in real-life applications like a kitchen with an island, a media unit, a wardrobe, and a corridor for sample displays.

  • Product Integration:

    • Finsa Tech (Raw Materials):

      • Fibrapan Hidrofugo and Fibrapan Hidrofugo Plus: Displayed as lacquered furniture fronts with routed and sanded samples to showcase ease of manufacturing.

      • Superpan EVO and Fibrapan Bio: Highlighted with additional context on sustainability and innovation.

  • Design Features:

    • Front finishes included lacquered shaker-style doors, fluted TEX MDF, Technical Matt, and veneer options.

    • “Total Look” kitchen trend reflected in coordinated finishes for fronts, worktops, and splashbacks.

    • Bedroom or living room furniture featured the 12Twenty range with trendy internal finishes like Gris Coco Nude and Canvas Greige.

  • Collaborative Execution:

To bring the design to life within a tight deadline, we partnered with Freebird Interiors, known for their expertise in CNC production and familiarity with Finsa’s materials. The stand was designed for CNC efficiency, ensuring precision and speed.

The Result:

In a 7.5m x 5m space, we created a striking and functional stand that included:

  • A fully finished kitchen with an island.

  • A media unit and wardrobe showcasing practical applications.

  • A sample corridor inviting visitors to explore Finsa’s material range.

The design achieved Finsa’s goal of drawing visitors to the stand, offering an interactive journey through their product categories, and reinforcing their reputation as an industry leader.
